This poster, Believe in Nothing, peppers several painted doorways and walls in the narrow streets of the old city. While I like the poster and its message, it didn’t quite have what I look for when I’m hunting for shots to post on this blog. Until now. This image of the police officer applying lipstick appeared in several spots during my last trip, and I snapped a few pictures, but nothing really blog-worthy. Then I found this doorway, and the poster and the pretty policeman came together to make a perfect storm of urban art. And just above the poster, someone has added the words “Don’t believe in yourself”, that seem to be dripping out of a horse-shaped splotch just above. Is the horse trying to make a hasty escape back to the Rorschach jungle it came from?
